It has been flat chat here. Head down and bum up. Work. Work. Work. All in preparation for my exhibition at 775 gallery. All very exciting. Moreover, I am very excited about the new paintings going into the show.

Below is a painting that last seen on this blog was on the floor of the studio as an un-stretched canvas with the beginnings of the painting, well just the groundwork really. I should not say ‘just’ the groundwork, as this is really one of the most important steps in the process. This is where I make my decisions about the mood and energy of the piece, the rhythms, the light and dark nuances. These loose beginnings contain all the intrinsic relationships to the final piece.

I am pretty chuffed with the final piece. Leave a comment and let me know what you think, I would love some feedback. On the other hand, even your thoughts on the process.

Stay tuned for more updates of my progress and some other special news items.

Wow, that’s an enormous painting! I’m sure it looks even more impressive in the flesh! I like your style of paintings and this one has so much detail. I love it!

Hi Greg. Thanks for dropping by. I knew you were a man of impeccable taste. Great timing for a pat on the back as I’m having a few little pre-show jitters, but it is all good. It is the right time to be nervous.
Hope life is sweet with you. Cheers
